Team Leader
Essential Job Functions:
This role provides leadership, training, and supervision/evaluation of direct care staff. This position also ensures that staffs model/teach social and living skills to the children in our care with the goal of building trust, cooperation, self-esteem and respect for self/others. The Team Leader works to maintain safe and orderly units, as well as compliance with TDFPS Minimum Standards and HHH policies.
The qualified candidate will demonstrate the following: competence and consistent implementation of the core components of our treatment program as taught in pre-service and in-service training, ability to maintain current knowledge of the treatment plan and special needs of each assigned child; ensure the implementation of each assigned child’s treatment plan; and ensure documentation of progress of the children for their treatment plans.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and a minimum four years’ experience working with emotionally disturbed children in a residential treatment environment along with the ability to understand and properly interpret policy. Must be self-motivated and posses good communication skills. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment. A Master’s degree in the human service field may substitute for two years experience. Eligibility for or possession of Texas Child Care Administrators Certificate is desired.

Camp Discovery Teacher
Creative, enthusiastic teachers wanted for Camp Discovery summer program for abused children!
Develop a summer curriculum that focuses on maintaining basic math and reading skills for children ages 5 to 12. Curriculum should provide a classroom experience that is structured and yet engaging and fun. Work with children, therapists, and campus staff to provide an enriching summer experience for the children at our home. This is a paid position and is 20 hours per week. A minimum of one year teaching experience is required; preference given to individuals who have worked with behaviorally or emotionally disturbed children.

Therapeutic Child Care Specialist
Therapeutic Child Care Specialists provide direct care and treatment for emotionally disturbed children between the ages 4 and 12. College degree in Social Work and/or experience preferred; desire to work w/ children required. Starting pay is $10.00 per hour.
Applications are currently being accepted. There is a comprehensive two-week orientation/training program offered. Weekend and holiday availability for work schedules is required.
